Not a bad Saturday

Spent a good part of the day at a gun show today, met up with Nate and his wife and a friend, Loc, who I met last time we went to the gun show. I saw a lot of stuff I liked, but if I had tried to buy what I wanted, the bill would have looked like the budget of a small country. Some of those pistols, knives, and rifles were so nice it practically brought tears to your eyes. I ended up not getting anything this time, but Nate managed to score a fair amount of ammo. Now I just have to get rid of this pain in my spine from being too long on my feet (I have four bad disks in my lower spine).
Since it has gotten quite a bit warmer, I guess I'm looking at yard work tomorrow.

You have my sympathy. I have one bad disk, ruptured in '04, allowed to heal with steroid therapy, and now is just bulging. Irritating as hell, but everything functions fine, so I'm not having surgery until function is compromised or the pain is so bad I can't stand it. Had too many patients on my x-ray machine with multiple back surgeries. I can't imagine how much fun four discs acting up at the same time must be.

Mine are the result of mild scoliosis that I didn't know I had until my early twenties, when I started getting problems with the sciatic nerve in my left leg. It has never been free of pain, but when it gets bad I get spasms in my lower back, and it feels like I'm being punched in the kidneys. If the pain ever stopped completely, it would probably scare the hell out of me, since it has hurt nonstop for about 45 years now. I doubt if the pain is as bad as a herniated disk.

Which reminds me, I need to check and see when the next Pasadena gun show is...
Any good 10mm pistols there? I'd love to have a Glock 20, or maybe one of those Colt Delta Elites.

Wish I was close enough to give you a good back massage, Bob
