Michael Moore's 'Sicko' Leaked Onto Web

I'm sorry, but I find this somewhat funny.

LOS ANGELES (AdAge.com) -- Michael Moore's new documentary "Sicko" has been pirated and is now widely available for download on peer-to-peer content sites like www.thepiratebay.org.

Last week, the Oscar winning director announced that he'd decided to stash a copy of "Sicko" in Canada, in case the federal government decided to impound it over an apparently unauthorized trip to Cuba made during its filming. As it turns out, the hard part won't be getting the film released, but getting audiences to pay to see it now that its available for free.

He made such a big deal out of claiming that the government was going to steal his documentary, and it is pirated from the place where he sent it to be safe.
Whoops...

That is funny.

Heh, non-news recently. Every movie is pirated within a few hours of release, and many if not most before their release. Why anyone would want to download, let alone pay to see, a film extoling the virtues of an organisation like the NHS, that is almost universally despised, forces couples to decide which one goes blind, and leaves then leaves the one who says "I will" to die alone in their own feces, and wastes more money in a day than the rest of the British state combined. Perhaps it makes good comedy?

*"recently" should be "really". What's wrong with me today?

I wouldn't pay to watch it, but now that it's stolen from him.....nah, it'd still be as entertaining as watching a dog turd decay in the yard.

What is more interesting, I think, is that the movie probably stands a better chance of being banned in Canada, though I'm sure it doesn't disparage their government, nor its health system.

One only need to speak with John Ross about this issue to understand that it is entirely legal to do, there, and that it happens on a fairly frequent basis, actually. No freedom of the press north of the border.

I'm actually coming around to the idea of letting the loud-mouthed lout do what he's best at, making a total and complete ass of himself. The more the better, as this behavior alienates him to more people all the time. Pretty soon, he'll have little to no support, even from his "friends" in Hollywood.

Hopefully, he'll end up broke and a complete loser, living in a cardboard box somewhere.
